Time to get your motors racing… Metaphorically speaking.
The recently renamed O’Brien Group Arena is a fantastic home for ice skating and dancing (if you can ice skate and dance without falling), with an array of streaming lights and music galore.
A great group date or bestie date, this one reminds me of a Grease-type playland where you can skate and listen to hits of the 80’s, 90’s and 00’s.
General skating sessions run throughout the week, open all day with events between 11am and 8:30pm.
Ice skating for the very first time can be a very embarrassing and humiliating experience, thus we wouldn’t recommend it for a first date. However, your bestie has probably seen you do much, much worse, which is why we’ve decided to include it in the Bestie category.
Realistically speaking, seeing you falling on the floor with your arms flailing and your legs over your head is probably nothing rare for the ol’ BFF.
A café inside the arena with sandwiches, burgers, salads and other food options gives you a good break from the energy expended on skating (and falling). Have a snack and a chat with a friend or a family member and enjoy the fake snow that sometimes falls from the ceiling.
Never been to the snow before? Not seen Russia? No matter, this place is close enough! And don’t worry, they provide jackets, gloves and socks if needed!
